​Danielle Torbert, CPA, is a contract CFO and restructuring-focused finance leader who blends technical rigor with a calm, approachable style. She partners with owners, lenders, and bankruptcy counsel to stabilize operations, build lender-ready reporting, and drive toward clear outcomes—restructuring, sale, or growth. CornerPoint Advisors, the boutique where Danielle serves as a principal, focuses on helping small and mid-sized businesses through financial distress—assessments, interim leadership, case management, and transaction support.

Danielle began her career in ultra-high-net-worth tax and estate planning, serving families with $50MM+ in net assets. That foundation in holistic analysis—cash-flow modeling, entity structure, insurance review, and practical tax planning—still shapes how she diagnoses problems and simplifies decisions today.

Over 15+ years, she has stepped in as CFO for multiple organizations, including a charity with $15M in revenue and a second-generation corrugated box manufacturer with $23M in revenue, where she helped prepare the business and facilitate its sale. She also partnered with a locally owned mulch company to clean up financial statements, implement stronger controls, and support its emergence from bankruptcy. Recent work includes financial statement analysis, preparation of Monthly Operating Reports, interim CFO coverage, cash-flow and projection work, and practical tax analysis for both healthy and distressed companies.

Danielle is known for a direct yet kind communication style and a sleeves-rolled-up approach that gets momentum quickly. She’s comfortable in the boardroom and the back office—mapping processes, building reporting, and leaving teams with simple, durable routines.

Outside of client work, Danielle spends many weekends working as a flight attendant—an experience that’s sharpened her interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills and given her the chance to meet people from around the world. That perspective shows up in her consulting: she listens closely, collaborates well across functions, and looks at challenges from multiple angles. She also served two years as Treasurer for Downtown Orlando Toastmasters, reflecting her down-to-earth, service-oriented approach to leadership.

Danielle co-founded CornerPoint’s practice with a focus on turnaround work after partnering on a successful Chapter 11 engagement; she continues to collaborate closely with legal teams on case management and reporting.

She holds a Master’s in Taxation from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Florida.
